Principal's Message

Welcome to Livingston Middle School (LMS), home of the cougars, where we believe in Cougar PRIDE. We trust that LMS students are Productive, Respectful and responsible Individuals Determined to Excel in a global society.  As such we are working to create the conditions in which students feel safe, have extracurricular activities to participate in, and are challenged academically to continue to learn.  We implement the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system, offer an array of clubs, sports, and band, and are creating a college going culture through the schoolwide implementation of Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID).  At LMS we are committed to providing focused instruction and support to encourage curiosity and promote innovation to help students succeed.

Parents are key partners in the education of our students. We encourage parents to attend parent conferences, evening programs such as Back to School Night and Open House, and all school events throughout the school year.  In addition, as part of our parent involvement plan we encourage parents to participate in School Site Council (SSC), English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), and Coffee Connection. We want you to feel welcome at LMS and hope you choose to be an active partner in your child’s education.  By working together, students, teachers, staff, and parents, we can make this a GREAT school year.

Should  you have any questions, concerns or ideas you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to contact any of our staff members or myself.
